Are you an introvert? Trying to bridge the wall of communication gap. Often we want to continue a conversation yet are in search of a good topic. But why do you need to think of a topic to be comfortable? Here we will tell you how to keep up a conversation going without creating an awkward caesura.
How To Keep Up A Conversation
How To Keep Up A Conversation

1. Ask questions

Ask the right questions and also at the right time. Instead of asking yes or no questions, ask open-ended questions. This will invite conversations and maybe you get the next topic too quick

2. The climate

Do not talk about the weather or climate. It is too cliche and it easily brings the other person to the conclusion that you are too boring and are just trying to keep up the conversation.

3. Don't be all goodie-goodie

You need not appreciate every aspect of the person you are speaking too. Sometimes it ends up giving the wrong notions and the person might want to end the conversation

4. High emotional quotient

Instead of discussing “myself and yourself”, you can rather just hit on the right emotion by  asking a simple question like, “How are you feeling?”, “How was your day?”. This can actually connect you to the person immediately (and might end up into a lot of revelations)

5. Never end a conversation abruptly

If you are in a fix and need to leave right away, be polite and ask for another day to continue the conversation. An easier way to ensure that a conversation keeps flowing in is to specify the date or time when you can talk next. But don't forget to respond, else it will leave a bad impression of you.
